Common Housing Questions

Once notified of my housing placement, am I obligated to accept my housing placement?

No, you are under no obligation to accept the housing placement.  However, there is no guarantee that you will be offered another placement in the event you reject the original assignment.

How do I confirm my acceptance of the housing assignment?

Your Housing Placement Notice will contain instructions on how to remit a Housing Reservation Advance.  The Housing Reservation Advance is a non-refundable deposit that must be remitted before the deadline indicated in your Housing Placement Notice in order to reserve your housing placement.

Is Tenant Insurance necessary?

Yes.  Tenant Insurance is MANDATORY under French law.  Information about Insurance can be found in your Housing Placement Notice.

Will I be living near my classmates?
